WINGS

WINGS was incorporated as a not-for-profit public charity in the United States in 2011, and the secretariat moved to its permanent home in São Paulo, Brazil. Today the WINGS network continues to grow, bringing together more than 100 philanthropy support organisations from 50+ countries. WINGS offers members skill-building workshops, peer learning events, webinars, regional meetings, and access to essential data on philanthropy that we collect on a global level. WINGS also publishes a monthly newsletter with the latest updates and accomplishments in philanthropy.

WINGS FORUM

2014

WINGSForum 2014: The Power of Networks: Building Connected Global Philanthropy is taking place in Istanbul,Turkey. We expect more than 200 attendees representing grantmakers and support organisations from every region of the world. This year WINGSForum is co-hosted by the Third Sector Foundation of Turkey (TUSEV).

2006

WINGSForum 2006 took place from 16-18 November in Bangkok, Thailand. The Bangkok event attracted 50% more participants than its predecessor in Sydney, and included extensive satellite meetings which focused on the promotion, development and support of community foundations and corporate giving.

1998

WINGSForum 1998 (originally named IMAG) took place at the International Meeting of Associations Serving Grantmakers (IMAG) in Oaxaca, Mexico.

2010

WINGSForum 2010 took place from 18-20 November 2010 at Lake Como, Italy, and was hosted by Associazione Italiana Fondazionie d Enti di Erogazione (Assifero) and Fondazioni e di Casse di Risparmio Spa (ACRI).

2002

WINGSForum 2002 (originally planned as IMAG II) was held from 10-13 March 2002 in Sydney, Australia. Following the WINGS mandate to “support groups serving grantmakers, ensuring they do not work in isolation”, the 2002 forum was designed to give delegates the chance to exchange ideas and experiences face to face.
