Pre-conference workshops offered WINGSForum 2017 attendees the chance to slow down and deeply explore the big ideas behind the conference. These workshops provided an intensive, hands-on opportunity for developing tools and strategies essential to the sector.

alina  “Roadsmihaela to Social Change Challenge”

 Presenters:
Alina Porumb, Strategic Philanthropy Program Director, Association for Community Relations
Mihaela Giurgiu, INSPIRE Program Manager, Association for Community Relations
Tuesday, 21st February, 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM

The workshop will give participants the opportunity to delve into and reflect on practical examples (in an interactive and participative way) of how we use knowledge, inspiration, collaboration, funding, innovation and technology to achieve social change. Together we will explore approaches to social change through individual and small group customized experiences.

  1. The challenge will include a series of stop points where you will be encouraged to relate to a case study or experience, reflect or contribute with a story.
  2. There will be particular ‘rules of the game’ for this challenge, enabling you to try to achieve a particular objective, cooperate with others and gather resources to advance in the game.
  3. The workshop will end with a reflection on how the game and the rules translate to real life situations of development helping participants identify roadblocks or new solutions to challenges.

This workshop focuses on how philanthropy infrastructure organisations can most effectively create, curate and share content, set and track social media goals, and harness social media to achieve their organisational goals.
